About Holthinrichs
Holthinrichs is an independent haute horlogerie armory based in Delft, the Netherlands. We create watches as wearable architecture: sculptural, personal and technically refined.
Our work combines traditional watchmaking, architectural design, hand-finishing, modern manufacturing techniques and a strong sense of individuality. We are growing and want to strengthen our in-house manufacture capacity while maintaining the level of quality, precision and care expected from independent haute horlogerie.
To support this next phase, we are looking for a second Master Watchmaker, Manufacture to join our atelier.
The Role
As Master Watchmaker, Manufacture, you will contribute to the manufacture side of Holthinrichs: the assembly, adjustment, testing and quality control of watches, as well as the high-end hand-finishing and technical refinement of components, parts, tools and instruments developed or produced within our company.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced watchmaker who can work independently at a high level. You will be involved in the running of the atelier from a technical watchmaking perspective, with a focus on production readiness, assembly quality, reliable execution and continuous technical improvement.
You will work alongside our current senior master watchmaking capacity and collaborate closely with the atelier, production, finishing, engineering and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and adjust complete watches, components, parts, tools and instruments related to Holthinrichs' in-house manufacture.
- Perform master-level watchmaking tasks, including movement preparation, assembly, regulation, testing, troubleshooting, repairs and service work.
- Carry out high-end hand-finishing of components and parts, alongside quality control on parts, end products and assembled watches, and identify technical deviations or improvement points.
- Support the technical improvement of production processes, manufacturing applications and product reliability.
- Contribute to the practical functioning of the atelier, including work documentation, stock-related watchmaking tasks, tools and equipment.
- Work closely with production, finishing, engineering and operations to ensure that manufacture work flows reliably and meets Holthinrichs' standards.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced watchmaker with a high level of technical skill, independence and responsibility.
You may be a strong fit if you:
- Have extensive experience as a watchmaker, preferably at senior or master level.
- Are comfortable assembling, adjusting, regulating and testing mechanical watches.
- Can diagnose and solve technical issues independently.
- Are skilled in the high-end hand-finishing of components and parts, with a strong eye for detail and quality.
- Work in a precise, clean and structured way.
- Understand the quality expectations of high-end or independent watchmaking.
- Can contribute constructively to process improvement without needing a management role.
- Are reliable in documentation, follow-up and communication.
- Enjoy working in a small, creative and ambitious atelier environment.
- Are comfortable collaborating with production, finishing, engineering and operations.
- Experience with independent watchmaking, complications, bespoke work or small-series production is a strong advantage.
What We Offer
- A hands-on role in an independent haute horlogerie atelier.
- The opportunity to work on distinctive watches at the intersection of architecture, craft and horology.
- Close collaboration with a small and highly involved team.
- Direct impact on the quality, reliability and growth of our manufacture.
- A working environment where traditional skill, technical problem-solving and creative ambition come together.
